Instructions for Use
- βApply an appropriate amount to the affected area 1 to several times a day.
- βFollow the prescribed dosage and method strictly.
- βShake well before use.
- βHow much to use: an amount about the size of a 1-yen coin (about 0.5 g) covers an area the size of two palms. Adjust the amount to the size of the affected area.
- βAlways pour the lotion onto your hand first, check the amount, and then apply it to the affected area with your fingers. When applying it to the scalp, part the hair so that as little as possible gets on the hair itself. The surface should feel moist.
- βApply to clean skin, after a bath or after washing your hair. When applying it to the scalp, it spreads more easily if you towel-dry thoroughly and leave the hair slightly damp rather than drying it completely with a hairdryer.
- βChildren should use this product under adult supervision.
- βBe careful not to get the lotion in your eyes. If it does get in your eyes, rinse immediately with water or lukewarm water. If the symptoms are severe, see an eye doctor.
- βFor external use only β do not ingest.
- βDo not cover the treated area with anything airtight, such as plastic wrap. When using it on an area covered by a diaper, do not put on a tight-fitting diaper or plastic-backed pants.
- βDo not use it as a makeup base or after shaving.
- βDo not use this product if you have ever had an allergic reaction to this product or any of its ingredients.
- βDo not use on the following areas:
- (1) Chickenpox, athlete's foot, ringworm, or areas that are festering
- (2) The eyes or the area around the eyes
- βDo not use over a wide area of the face.
- βDo not use continuously over a long period.
- βOnce your symptoms have improved, do not keep applying this product out of habit.
- βDo not use on mucous membranes.
- βDo not touch the affected area with the mouth of the bottle. The bottle can become contaminated, which can make the inflammation worse.
- βUsing large amounts of this lotion, or using it over a long period, can thin the skin or dilate the blood vessels in the skin as a side effect. The skin on the face is thin, so take particular care there.
- βOn intimate areas, use this product only where the affected area is smaller than a 500-yen coin. If the affected area is larger than that, stop using it and consult a doctor, pharmacist, or registered salesperson.
- β Consult a doctor, pharmacist, or registered salesperson before use if you:
- (1) Are under medical treatment.
- (2) Are pregnant or possibly pregnant.
- (3) Have ever had an allergic reaction to a medicine.
- (4) Have a widespread affected area.
- (5) Have severe weeping or raw, broken skin.
- βStop use immediately and consult a doctor, pharmacist, or registered salesperson β bringing this package insert with you β if any of the following symptoms appear after use, as they may be side effects:
- Skin: Rash, redness, or itching
- Skin (affected area): Fungal infection such as athlete's foot or ringworm, acne, signs of infection, persistent irritation, or whitening of the skin
- βStop use and consult a doctor, pharmacist, or registered salesperson β bringing this package insert with you β if symptoms do not improve, or if they get worse, after 5β6 days of use.
- βStore tightly capped in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Do not transfer to another container (this can cause mistaken use or affect quality). Do not use after the expiry date.
Additional Information
Betamethasone valerate is one of the adrenocortical hormones. It reduces inflammation and relieves itching.
Rinderon Vs Lotion is a milky-lotion type of topical steroid for hair-covered skin: an itchy or flaking scalp, scalp redness, stinging when shampoo touches it, and rashes under the arms or in intimate areas. It also suits the back, stomach, and arms, where a sticky ointment is hard to spread, and body rashes in sweaty weather.
When a topical steroid is used correctly β in terms of how long and how much you apply β side effects are not common. With long-term continuous use, the skin may turn white or become thin. Using it on an area with an infection such as athlete's foot can make the symptoms worse. Using it around the eyes over a long period can raise the pressure inside the eye, so stop using it there.
